The American Kyusho Jutsu Association (AKJA) is a national martial arts organization founded in 2026 by Grandmaster James “Jim” Greenwood. Based in St. Louis, Missouri, it aims to preserve the Kyusho legacy of Grandmaster Jim Corn, unite practitioners, and support the continued development of Kyusho Jutsu. The association brings together students and instructors from varied martial arts backgrounds through hands-on training, structured study, and community events.
AKJA teaches Kyusho as the study of vulnerable anatomical targets and how targeting, angles, direction, and body mechanics can enhance martial arts techniques. Its training topics include pressure-point applications, kata and bunkai, tuite and joint manipulation, takedowns and controls, practical self-defense, weapons defense, and instructor development. Training is available to beginners and experienced martial artists, with curriculum and progression for continued study.
The organization offers national seminars, training camps, events, membership, and instructor and affiliate opportunities. Schools can host customized seminars led by AKJA instructors. Members receive certification, access to events, an instructor referral network, and digital training resources.
