Akniram support services

Akniram Support Services is an independently operated NDIS support provider based in Lowood, Queensland, serving people across the Somerset, Lockyer and Ipswich council areas. The organisation provides personalised support in home and community settings, with a primary focus on social and community participation for children and young adults with lower support needs. It also supports adults and older people, tailoring services to each person’s circumstances and goals.

Its offerings include community outings and participation in social, civic, group and innovative community activities. Support may also cover daily living and personal activities, development of care and life skills, household tasks, cleaning, travel and transport arrangements, and short-term accommodation or respite. Akniram aims to promote safety, wellbeing, independence and resilience in a nurturing environment, while helping individuals feel valued and empowered.

The service works closely with families and caregivers and can refer clients to, or work alongside, professionals such as physical and occupational therapists, speech therapists and psychologists.
