About Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank
The Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank, established in 1982, is dedicated to alleviating hunger in Northeast Ohio. Serving eight counties, the Foodbank collaborates with over 600 hunger-relief partners, including food pantries, meal sites, shelters, and programs for children and seniors, all committed to ensuring that individuals and families in need have access to essential food and resources.
With its primary campus in Akron, featuring a 102,000-square-foot warehouse, and a secondary campus in Stark County, the Foodbank operates efficient distribution centers that collect, sort, and store food. Utilizing donations from corporations, state and federal assistance, and the Feeding America network, the Foodbank fulfills daily orders from its partners.
Driven by its mission to empower healthy, hunger-free lives, the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank fosters collaboration and innovation, striving for a community free from hunger.
