Aktion Luftballon

Aktion Luftballon is the charitable support association for the children’s clinic at Lukaskrankenhaus in Neuss, Germany. For 25 years, it has worked to improve the wellbeing of children receiving care and to support their parents during a hospital stay. Guided by the motto “Stronger together for healthy children,” the association directs all collected funds to the children’s clinic.

Its support includes funding purchases for the clinic and a specially trained hospital clown, whose visits bring moments of laughter to young patients. Aktion Luftballon also raises awareness and donations through community activities and events. Recent initiatives have included welcoming visitors at the hospital’s Mouse Day, serving popcorn and offering mini golf at the Neuss State Garden Show, and taking part in the Rhein-Kreis Neuss family festival.
