Familie Kroll operates Aktivstall Hackenschwaige, a horse-keeping facility in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, focused on providing a horse-friendly way of life. Its active-stable concept is designed around horses’ natural needs and their nature as herd animals. The facility describes itself as one of only a few riding stables in Upper Bavaria to offer this approach. A new area of the active stable opened on 31 July 2020, and the stable has announced that a limited number of places are available.
The services and accommodation options presented include active-stable boarding, support with introducing horses to the facility, paddock boxes, and open stables. The website also provides an overview of the farm and stable facilities, along with photographs to help prospective visitors learn more. People interested in seeing the stable can arrange a visit by phone, and the invitation extends to both horse owners and their horses. Familie Kroll’s offering is centered on equine accommodation and a housing environment intended to better reflect horses’ social and natural requirements.
