About YWCAAotearoaNZ
The YWCA of Aotearoa New Zealand is a proud feminist organization that has been dedicated to supporting women and girls in challenging gender inequality for over 140 years. Our work focuses on the well-being, development, and achievement of women and girls in a society that still denies us equal opportunities. We have locations in Auckland, Hamilton, Whangarei, and Christchurch, each offering programs and services tailored to meet the needs of their respective communities.
Our range of services includes free community programs covering critical topics such as young women's leadership, body confidence, financial literacy, and safety. We also advocate for important issues facing young women today, such as equal pay. In addition, we provide emergency accommodation in Christchurch, operate hostels in Whangarei, Auckland, and Hamilton, and more.
