Alabaré is a charitable organization dedicated to supporting vulnerable, homeless, and marginalized individuals. Their mission is to transform lives by providing accommodation and empowering individuals with the skills, confidence, and opportunities necessary to live fulfilled lives. Founded in 1991 by Reverend John Proctor and Alicia Proctor, Alabaré began as a home for people in crisis.

Recognizing the growing need, they established Alabaré in partnership with a Christian community. Today, Alabaré operates homes and services across England and Wales, offering specialized support for various groups. They assist young parents and their babies, individuals struggling with addictions, young people leaving the care system, those with mental health issues, adults with learning difficulties, and Armed Forces Veterans facing challenges outside the military.

In addition to these services, Alabaré provides training courses and daily activities at two Development Centres in Wiltshire. They also offer supported housing for learning difficulties clients and operate a residential Christian Community. Alabaré is guided by their founding principles of generosity, care, compassion, and respect, as they strive to help each person achieve an independent life of their choosing.

This vision is realized through the involvement of the wider community, regardless of faith, in creating a society where everyone has the opportunity to live a fulfilling life. Alabaré remains true to their Christian roots and provides hope and practical care without judgment. They are supported by a dedicated team of Chaplains who offer guidance and support to those in need.
