ALABE - Associação dos Laboratórios de Enologia is a non-profit organization established by public deed on June 5, 1996. With a dynamic approach and engaging initiatives, ALABE boasts 90 members from both the private and public sectors, including winemaking companies of various sizes, universities, public institutions, and service providers, significantly surpassing its original founding members. The organization's services are in high demand due to the accreditation processes related to product certification undertaken by Regional Viticulture Commissions and the accreditation of many laboratories according to ISO 17025.

Since 2002, ALABE has been organizing continuous interlaboratory tests in the areas of physico-chemical, instrumental, and more recently, sensory analysis.
