Alameda Vipers Basketball Club is a nonprofit youth basketball organization based in Alameda, California. Founded in 2010, the club is affiliated with the National Amateur Athletic Union (AAU), Team U.S.A. Youth Development, and the Jr. NBA. It fields girls’ and boys’ teams for players in grades 2 through 12 and operates year-round, with winter, spring, summer, and fall seasons.
The Vipers provide developmental basketball opportunities focused on individual skill-building within team play. Players take part in regular practices, additional training, and scheduled games and tournaments. The club emphasizes fundamentals, conditioning, coachability, discipline, and commitment to the team, while coaches determine playing time according to team and game needs. Depending on roster requirements, evaluations may be held before teams are formed.
The organization also offers opportunities for qualified coaches and trainers to join its program. Players selected for teams must complete club registration and obtain the required AAU membership. Season fees vary based on costs such as gym rentals, insurance, games, and tournaments.
