Alamo City Dog Trainers

Alamo City Dog Trainers is a locally owned, veteran-owned dog training business serving San Antonio and communities across South and Central Texas. Trainer Abraham works directly with each client, personally evaluating dogs, providing training, and answering questions rather than passing dogs among multiple trainers. The business offers professional board-and-train programs focused on obedience, communication, and building calmer, more confident dogs.

Program options include one-week, 10-day, two-week, three-week, and four-week stays, with the two-week program described as a popular starting point. Dogs stay at the trainer’s home in a climate-controlled kennel, and training plans are tailored to each dog’s behavior and progress. Methods include positive reinforcement, consistent verbal and body-language cues, and, where appropriate, e-collar communication.

At the end of training, owners receive one to two hours of instruction on commands and their dog’s responses, with ongoing support available by phone or email. The business also offers dog boarding to clients, consultations, and payment plans for eligible programs. Dogs must be at least five months old and fully vaccinated to participate
