Alaska Bucket List Adventures

Alaska Bucket List Adventures is a locally owned and operated charter business based in Juneau, Alaska, offering private salmon fishing charters and whale-watching excursions from Auke Bay. Led by Captain John, the company welcomes both local residents and visitors looking to experience the waters of Southeast Alaska and create lasting memories. Captain John brings a lifelong interest in boating and fishing, has been active in Juneau-area waters since 2011, and is licensed by the U.S. Coast Guard. He recently retired after more than 30 years in professional natural resource management to pursue his passion for time on the water.

Trips take place aboard the Intrepid, a 30-foot North River boat built in 2018 for local waters. It features a heated cabin, a self-contained head, well-maintained professional equipment, and generous deck space for fishing. In addition to its on-the-water adventures, Alaska Bucket List Adventures offers wedding officiation services. Captain John is an ordained minister and welcomes couples of all backgrounds and identities.
