Albany Babe Ruth

Albany Babe Ruth is a nonprofit youth baseball organization based in the heart of Albany, serving local families and players. Its program gives children ages 12 to 16 an opportunity to adjust to playing on a larger field, while providing older participants with a place to develop their skills through games and practice. The recreation season typically begins by the second week of April and runs through the end of May.

Teams play games on Saturdays and Sundays, with at least one practice scheduled during the week. The league also operates a concession stand during games, serving hot food and expanding its menu to meet the needs of players, families, and other guests. Albany Babe Ruth welcomes families throughout the community and states that no player is turned away except for age-related eligibility requirements.

Community members can support the organization by volunteering, sponsoring a team, or making a donation. The website provides registration information, news, calendars, and event details, and directs general inquiries to league leadership
