The Capital Region Model Railroad Club is an HO-modular model railroad club serving enthusiasts in New York’s Capital Region. Its members share an interest in railroading, whether in full-size trains or models, and bring a range of talents and experience to the group. The club welcomes people whose main requirement is an interest in the hobby, including those seeking a place to run a train, opportunities to learn, or a community with whom to share their enthusiasm.

The club promotes model railroading by bringing it to the public, simulating railroad operations, and sharing railroad history and lore. Its modular layout travels to six or seven shows each year, including the Great New York State Model Train Fair in Syracuse, the Upstate Model Railroader Train Show in Glens Falls, and the Great Train Extravaganza in Albany. The club also offers members the chance to develop their modeling skills and participate in a welcoming community.
