Alber

Alber Japan Co., Ltd. is the Japanese importer and exclusive distributor of mobility and rehabilitation products from Germany’s Alber company. Based in Ikebukuro, Tokyo, the company supplies equipment designed to support wheelchair users and their caregivers in everyday mobility.

Its product range includes the Scala series of portable stair-climbing devices, which enable an attendant to transport a person seated in a wheelchair up and down stairs. The company offers three Scala models to suit different environments and provides operation training for safe use. Other products include Erivo, a lightweight, foldable powered wheelchair; e-fix, a power-assist unit that helps make hills and longer journeys easier; and viaGO, an attendant-assist unit designed to reduce the effort of pushing a wheelchair. Alber Japan also offers wheelchairs, including models from French manufacturer Invacare, and accessories such as the Superhead headrest for wheelchair posture support. The website provides product information, rental guidance, model-specific training details, information about Japan’s long-term care insurance system, frequently asked questions, and downloadable materials.
