About Connections First
Alberta Mentoring Partnership (AMP) is a network of community mentoring agencies, government, and youth in Alberta. Their mission is to strengthen the capacity to support and enhance mentoring in the province. AMP provides resources, training materials, and research to help schools and agencies deliver excellent mentorship programs.
Co-led by the Government of Alberta and Boys & Girls Clubs Big Brothers Big Sisters, AMP consists of over 225 school and agency members and aims to help young people achieve success in school, develop job-ready skills, and increase awareness of the importance of mentoring. They also strive to attract mentors, reduce barriers to mentorship, and increase mentoring opportunities for priority youth populations. AMP validates the importance of Natural Supports in creating vibrant, healthy communities.
