About Otipemisiwak Métis Government
Métis Nation Alberta, established in 1928, is the governing body for the Métis people within Alberta. With a strong commitment to Métis rights, they offer a range of programs and services to support their community. Their programs cover various areas, including Alberta Métis Works, Children & Family Services, Education & Scholarships, Environment & Climate, Health Programs, Housing Services, and Youth Programs.
Additionally, Métis Nation Alberta provides citizenship and harvesting applications as well as guidelines and requirements for those interested. They also offer the MNA Parks Pass and facilitate the truth and reconciliation process. With a focus on inclusivity and community involvement, Métis Nation Alberta is holding their 95th Annual General Assembly, welcoming all Métis Nation of Alberta Citizens to share their voices and ideas.
