Alcer Sureste

ALCER Sureste is an association dedicated to fighting kidney disease in southeastern Spain. It supports people with chronic kidney disease and their families through services focused on practical guidance, wellbeing, education and community connection. Its offerings include social work, nutrition, physiotherapy and psychology, alongside an active expert patient programme developed in collaboration with the Nephrology Service at Cartagena’s Hospital Santa Lucía. The programme encourages people with kidney disease to take an informed, active role in their health and to support other patients, with clinical collaboration helping ensure reliable information.

The association also works to raise awareness of kidney conditions, prevention, early diagnosis, treatment and organ donation. Its activities include educational campaigns, events and volunteering opportunities, as well as initiatives highlighting polycystic kidney disease and kidney health awareness days. ALCER Sureste shares news and informational magazines to help keep its community informed. People can support its work by becoming members, volunteering or making contributions, including through legacies.
