Anchor Learning Center (ALC) provides biblical education and Christ-centered mentoring for students at Farragut High School in Farragut, Tennessee. Founded to offer “Released Time” religious instruction, the organization enables students to study the Bible from a Christian perspective during the school day. ALC offers three classes each day, scheduled during first, second, and third blocks, at the Faith Promise Farragut location on West End Avenue.
The program is supported by a three-member staff and a nine-member board of parents and community leaders representing five local churches. Its team includes teacher Chris McNeer, ministry assistant Bobbi Carbaugh, and executive director Sherry Shope. Farragut High School students can enroll with a parent or guardian’s completed request form.
ALC also welcomes community involvement and support through donations, sponsorships, and other opportunities to help sustain students’ faith and learning.
