About ALCMusicians
The Association of Lutheran Church Musicians (ALCM), based in Valparaiso, IN, is dedicated to nurturing and equipping musicians to serve and lead the church's song. ALCM recognizes that the church's song takes various forms and is expressed in many ways. They offer practical education programs, diverse resources, conferences, publications, and fellowship opportunities to musicians of all types, from paid professionals to volunteers.
ALCM's mission is to connect servant leaders, cultivate their musical gifts, and support worshipping communities in proclaiming the gospel through music. Their resources and programs are designed to honor the church's rich heritage and inspire its future. Members of ALCM have access to publications such as the journal CrossAccent and the practical In Tempo.
They can also participate in workshops, reading sessions, worship services, and concerts. ALCM offers advertising opportunities, a marketplace with issues of their publications and recordings of hymn festivals, and resources for congregations seeking musicians.
