Alcohol Education of Waco

Alcohol Education of Waco provides state-approved education and assessment services focused on driving, alcohol, and drug-related offenses. The organization offers Texas DWI education classes, drug offender education, and alcohol awareness classes for minors, including MIP classes. Its courses are certified by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, according to the website, and participants receive a numbered Texas-issued certificate upon completion.

The DWI education program is a standardized 12-hour course designed to help participants understand how alcohol and drugs can affect driving, recognize their own substance-use and driving patterns, and develop plans to reduce the risk of future DWI behavior. The class may be required after a first DWI conviction and may also be taken for pretrial intervention or, in some cases, to help obtain a suspended driver’s license. Classes are currently conducted online via Zoom. Alcohol and drug evaluations are available upon request, and the site also lists SAP assessments and registration services.
