About ALERRT Center
ALERRT Center, short for Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training, is a leading brand dedicated to providing top-notch active shooter response training in the nation. Since its establishment in 2002 as a partnership between Texas State University, the San Marcos Police Department, and the Hays County Sheriff's Office, ALERRT has been at the forefront of preparing first responders for active shooter situations. Recognized for its excellence, ALERRT was named the National Standard in Active Shooter Response Training by the FBI in 2013.
With over $136 million in federal and state funding, ALERRT has successfully trained more than 303,928 state, local, and tribal first responders, including over 246,129 law enforcement personnel, all at no cost to them.
