Alers Martial Arts (AMA) is a family-owned martial arts academy serving the West Pembroke Pines community in Florida. The academy offers training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, kickboxing, and mixed martial arts, alongside fitness-focused instruction. Its programs are intended for children, teens, and adults who want to develop their skills, improve fitness, and support their overall wellbeing.
AMA is led by head coach Jim “The Beast” Alers, who has more than 15 years of experience as a martial arts instructor. He is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt, has competed in 20 professional MMA fights, and is currently 4–1 as a bare-knuckle boxer. Jim also holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from the University of Central Florida. His teaching combines technical instruction and practical application in an environment designed to be both fun and welcoming to people with varied fitness and experience levels.
