AletschArena

The Aletsch Halbmarathon is a Swiss mountain-running event organized by Verein Aletsch Halbmarathon, based in Mörel and associated with Aletsch Arena AG. Held in the UNESCO World Heritage area, its signature race covers 21.1 kilometres on a demanding alpine course, with views of the Great Aletsch Glacier and the four-thousand-metre peaks of Valais. The event describes itself as a classic and a scenic European mountain run, attracting more than 2,700 runners from Switzerland and abroad each year.

The programme includes the Aletsch Half Marathon and a Saturday Minirun, alongside the Aletsch Saturday race and other running opportunities, including the UNESCO World Heritage Trophy and partner races. The organization provides online registration, race information, routes, categories, schedules, start lists and results, regulations, FAQs, and running tips. It also supports spectators with viewing hotspots, mobility guidance, and a supporting programme. Visitors can find travel and accommodation information, lost-property assistance, photos and videos, news, and media resources. The 40th edition is scheduled for June 26–27, 2027.
