Alexander Muir Funeral Directors

Alexander Muir Funeral Directors is a family-run funeral business established in 1938. The company supports families when someone has died, offering guidance on what to do following a death at home, in hospital, or in a care facility. Its website explains the steps families can expect, including contacting emergency services or care staff so a doctor can certify the death, followed by contacting their chosen funeral director.

The business offers funeral services, funeral plans, and support for people planning ahead. It also provides information about pricing and invites families to get in touch for guidance on grief and healing, recognising that bereavement can be difficult to face alone. Alexander Muir Funeral Directors operates premises in New Cumnock, Auchinleck, and Kelloholm, and features its fleet among its services and facilities.

Based in New Cumnock, the company can be contacted by phone or email. Customer feedback highlighted the professional and compassionate support provided by Alex and Robbie to a family arranging their father’s funeral.
