Alexander RP

Alexander Raphael is a writer of poetry, short stories and satirical fiction. Half-Mexican and half-Welsh, he grew up in London, where books inspired his early interest in writing. After studying English and American Literature at university and pursuing a journalistic career, he continued developing a distinctive body of creative work shaped by imagination, humour and memorable dialogue.

His books include The Summer of Madness, a romantic short story about a man’s elaborate attempt to win back his former girlfriend; Illusions, Delusions, a collection of seven stories told through varied and unconventional forms; and Always Never, Rarely Sometimes, featuring original premises and distinctive characters. His satirical debut novel, The Gameshow, follows six disgraced celebrities who sign up for a provocative television programme and explores the pressures of staying popular and relevant.
