About Alex Crean
Alex Crean is an independent creative technologist, games developer and lecturer who builds games, automation systems and tools to help teams turn ideas into reality. Combining technical expertise with a practical, creative approach to problem-solving, Alex works across game development, DevOps, web development and production processes.
As a lecturer in Games and Computing at Farnborough College of Technology, Alex teaches programming, systems architecture, project management, user experience, testing and DevOps, and leads the BA (Hons) Games Design and Development course. Educational work also includes curriculum development and tutoring.
Alex is co-founder, chief technical officer and productions manager at Serious Point Games. There, Alex has developed project-management automations and production pipelines, a branching narrative system in Unity, and improved asset delivery to reduce Git LFS costs. These solutions support team coordination and production as the studio grows.
