Alex Smith Guns Ltd.

Alex Smith Guns is a Hampshire-based gunsmith operating from Chaplin’s Yard in Winchester. Led by Alex, a highly trained gunsmith with 17 years of experience, the workshop combines specialist knowledge of fine English guns with practical experience across shooting disciplines. Alex has shot game and clay targets from a young age and has used a range of side-by-side and over-and-under shotguns, as well as rifles.

The onsite workshop services and repairs most English and modern alternative shotguns, rifles and air rifles. Work includes pre- and post-season servicing, stock alterations and re-stocking, blacking and re-blacking, re-jointing, chequering, woodwork repairs, gold or silver oval fitting and choke alteration. Customers can also arrange long- or short-term gun storage, probate and insurance valuations, and collection or delivery on request. Alex Smith Guns is a stockist of Hull Cartridges.

The workshop is open Monday to Friday, with Saturday visits by prior arrangement. Customers can call or email to discuss repair needs, request a callback or arrange a visit.
