Alfakuntoutus

Alfakuntoutus provides supported housing in Tampere and Lempäälä for adults recovering from mental health challenges or substance use. Its services are intended for people who do not have a home or are at risk of homelessness. The organisation helps residents strengthen everyday skills, establish stable routines and work toward living as independently as possible after a supported rehabilitation period. Support is planned collaboratively with each resident, with guidance tailored to daily tasks and individual rehabilitation goals.

Alfakuntoutus operates two housing units. Its Hervanta location has 30 similar terraced-house studios, each rented under an individual tenancy agreement. The Lempäälä unit offers terraced-house apartments of 25 square metres, some with lake views and small front terraces. Both units are substance-free environments that recognise relapse may occur, while requiring residents to commit to their rehabilitation and service plans. Residents can take part in shared activities and hobbies. Access is arranged through municipal social and mental health or substance-use services; prospective residents are welcome to visit the units before moving in.
