About Alfredinstitute
Alfred Hecht is the namesake of Galeria Alfred, founded by artist Ephrat Gal. Hecht, born in 1907 in Kalin, was a picture framer and art collector. In the 1920s, he migrated to London, where he opened a small picture framing business that eventually became a meeting place for artists, intellectuals, and bohemians, including Pablo Picasso, Henry Moore, and Francis Bacon.
