Algues-vertes.com is an initiative dedicated to combating the proliferation of green algae along the Breton coast. This platform serves to raise awareness and understanding of green algae's origins, mainly their connection to excessive nitrates in shallow bays and favorable weather conditions. The site provides valuable resources, insights into the risks associated with algal blooms, and outlines effective strategies for prevention and management.

A key component of Algues-vertes.com is the comprehensive action plan implemented by the state and regional authorities, which is structured in four main areas: preventive, curative, sanitary, and scientific measures aimed at reducing nitrate levels and modifying agricultural practices. The plan also emphasizes collaboration with local communities across various affected bays, including Baie de Saint-Brieuc and Baie de Douarnenez.

By engaging stakeholders and disseminating crucial information, Algues-vertes.com plays a pivotal role in addressing this environmental challenge while fostering a healthier marine ecosystem in Brittany.
