About The Andean Alliance
The Andean Alliance for Sustainable Development, also known as Alianza Andina, is a unique non-profit organization that believes in the power of communities to overcome poverty. As a US-certified 501c3 non-profit, we support agriculture initiatives in campesino farming communities and offer experiential learning opportunities in Peru. Our mission is to harness collective intelligence to support community-led development in the highlands of Peru.
We work closely with campesino communities, providing greenhouse construction, capacity-building, and on-site workshops that focus on agroecological methodology. Through our partnership with the Ecohuella Farm, we host hands-on agriculture workshops and networking events for campesinos. Additionally, our experiential learning programs foster cultural understanding and connections between participants and the communities we work with.
These programs also generate valuable research and funding for our agriculture initiatives. We offer various academic and service-learning programs that can be customized to meet the needs of individuals or groups. In 2021, we initiated the Lacco Valley Initiative, which helps coffee farmers increase their production, quality, and incomes through agriculture and commercialization.
We also prioritize community greenhouse projects and support the Ecohuella farm, where campesino farmers can share their experiences and knowledge. By supporting The Andean Alliance for Sustainable Development, you are contributing to the empowerment and upliftment of these resilient communities in Peru. Join us in making a meaningful impact today
