Alianza Puertorriqueña de Telecomunicaciones (APT) was founded in 2014 and is a representative body for telecommunications companies in Puerto Rico. APT represents telephone, cable television, and data companies, as well as service providers in the telecom industry. APT members offer a range of services including wireless and wired telecommunications, broadband internet access, cable TV services, data networks, cloud services, and related information services.

With over 700,000 fixed connections, 3. 4 million wireless connections, and 1. 8 million internet access points, APT members provide high-quality communication networks and advanced services to keep customers connected locally, nationally, and globally.

The telecommunications industry is a vital segment of Puerto Rico's economy, with APT members making a significant positive impact. Over the past six years, they have invested over $4 billion in physical and technological infrastructure. Our members contribute an average of $543 million annually in state and municipal corporate income taxes, and the industry generates around $3.

75 billion per year, accounting for 5. 4% of Puerto Rico's Gross National Product (GNP). Employing over 9,000 people with an estimated annual payroll of over $91.

We also strongly promote the exportation of telecommunications products and services. As a private telecommunications consortium, we serve our clients and Puerto Rico. Our mission is to promote fair competition, encourage service excellence, and advocate for an optimal framework for industry growth.
