ALICe Piacenza

A.L.I.Ce Piacenza O.D.V. is part of Associazione Alice, an organisation dedicated to the fight against cerebral stroke. Founded in Aosta in April 1997 at the initiative of neurologist Dr. Giuseppe D’Alessandro, the association is now present throughout Italy. Its central aim is to share information about stroke prevention and address the effects of stroke on people affected and their families.

The Piacenza association works to improve quality of life through assistance, social opportunities and rehabilitation activities. It supports patients in maintaining motor and cognitive abilities and offers families help and support. Its courses and activities are led by professionals, including a speech therapist, an exercise specialist, a neuropsychologist and a physiotherapist. Services include language and communication practice, adapted group exercise, cognitive stimulation and movement activities tailored to patients with limited mobility. The organisation also holds monthly meetings with a biologist and nutritionist on healthy eating habits for people affected by stroke. Through prevention information and ongoing activities, A.L.I.Ce Piacenza supports patients and families as they manage life after stroke.
