Alinta Krauth is an Australia-based multidisciplinary new media artist, interaction and exhibition designer, researcher, and co-founder of EphemerLab. Her practice explores how digital technology can create meaningful encounters between people, animals, plants, landscapes, and other non-human beings. Drawing on ecological themes, contemporary theory, scientific fieldwork, and collaboration with ecology experts and wildlife rescue organisations, Krauth creates interactive artworks that invite audiences to reconsider care, communication, and shared environments.
Her work spans browser-based and augmented-reality experiences, interactive games and narratives, sound art, video, projection mapping, holographic installations, and sensor-based systems. Projects include digital offerings for animal strangers, explorations of animal communication using AI and machine learning, wildlife-care enrichment experiences, and outdoor projections that activate public spaces. She also develops exhibitions, museum and library interactions, locative smartphone experiences, and installations for galleries, festivals, and institutions. Recent presentations have included Gentle Monster in Seoul, Botanica Festival in Brisbane, White Night in Melbourne, Sydney’s Powerhouse, ETH Zurich, and Art Laboratory Berlin.
