Ali's Swim Academy

Ali’s Swim Academy provides private swim lessons in Lafayette, helping children develop water safety, confidence, and lifelong swimming skills. Founded by Ali Smith, a registered nurse, swim instructor, and mother with more than 15 years of experience, the academy focuses on building capable swimmers through patient, individualized instruction. Lessons are designed to support children at different stages and abilities, with an emphasis on practical safety and comfort in and around water.

Families report progress in swimming skills, confidence, and safe water practices, including for children with cognitive or physical differences. The academy’s mission is to create lifelong swimmers and promote water safety in the community, recognizing that swimming is both enjoyable and an essential life skill. Ali’s Swim Academy offers lesson information and frequently asked questions, along with resources on the ABCs of water safety.

Families can book available lessons or join a priority list for early access and reminders. Lesson spots open monthly and are limited, so advance booking is encouraged
