ALKA, o.p.s. is a social services organization based in Příbram, Czech Republic. Since 2005, it has supported children, adults and seniors with disabilities, including people with complex support needs, helping them lead as full a life as possible. Its professional team works with clients and their families, emphasizing individual, respectful care, open communication and a welcoming environment.
ALKA provides day services, respite care, social activation services for seniors and people with disabilities, and social rehabilitation. Its program also includes movement therapy and practical, creative and sensory activities. These range from art therapy, music sessions, relaxation in a Snoezelen multisensory space and animal-assisted therapy to ceramics, cooking, gardening, candle-making and skills practice.
The organization also offers activities and events for service users and families. Clients create handmade goods, which ALKA makes available to the public through occasional sales; visitors can also purchase coffee to go during designated Wednesday sales at Dům Natura.
