Alkpositiv

ALK Positiv Danmark is a patient association supporting people affected by ALK-positive non-small cell lung cancer, a serious form of lung cancer that can affect younger people, including those who have never smoked. The association works to improve understanding of the disease and help patients access appropriate care and support.

Its priorities include promoting faster access to new treatments, encouraging funding for lung cancer research, and raising awareness among healthcare professionals and policymakers to support earlier diagnosis and better treatment. ALK Positiv Danmark also helps build a community for patients and their families, sharing personal stories and information about living with the condition.

The organisation provides educational resources on ALK lung cancer, treatment options when the disease progresses, and patient rights. It offers a checklist for people newly diagnosed, information about membership and its benefits, opportunities to volunteer or donate, and access to a second-opinion scheme. Through its news, guidance, and community activities, the association aims to give patients practical knowledge, connection, and hope as they navigate their illness.
