All About Elephants

Two Tails Ranch, located in Williston, Florida, near Gainesville, is a privately owned elephant ranch founded in 1984. The ranch, created by Theodore H. Svertesky and Patricia L.

Zerbini, is a unique facility that houses both Asian and African elephants in a peaceful and natural environment. Over 250 elephants have passed through its gates for various reasons such as retirement, medical needs, or behavior problems. Additionally, the ranch offers educational tours where visitors can interact with elephants up close, feed them, and even ride them.

Apart from elephants, the ranch is also home to other animals like zebras, turtles, birds, and lemurs. Two Tails Ranch aims to promote elephant awareness and conservation through informative programs and guided tours. Donations and support from visitors help sustain the ranch and its inhabitants.
