About Invenergy
Alle-Catt Wind Energy Center, developed by Invenergy, is a proposed 340-megawatt wind power facility poised to enhance the renewable energy landscape in Allegany, Cattaraugus, and Wyoming Counties, New York. Set to begin construction in 2024 and become operational in 2025, this ambitious project leverages clean and cost-effective wind energy to address New York's growing electricity demands. By harnessing the power of wind, Alle-Catt Wind will generate enough energy to power approximately 134,000 homes each year.
The project is expected to inject $9.1 million annually into the local economy through lease and PILOT payments, taxes, and operational spending, fostering job creation with plans to employ permanent wind technicians. Committed to community collaboration, Invenergy has been advancing sustainable energy goals in New York since 2009, with a focus on economic growth and energy independence. With the support of over 300 local residents, Alle-Catt Wind is not merely an energy project but a catalyst for positive change in the community.
