Allerød Jagtforening is a local hunting association serving hunters in Allerød and the surrounding area. Founded in 1995 by five hunters, it operates under the Danish Hunters’ Association and works to represent members’ interests while promoting responsible, ethical hunting and an active, environmentally minded approach. The association participates in local hunters’ councils and cooperates with other councils in its district.
With around 120 members, the club offers opportunities to develop skills, share knowledge and enjoy good company. Its activities include club meetings, a summer party and trophy evenings. Members can practise clay shooting and take part in club championships at the association’s shooting range in Lynge. The club also arranges sighting-in and practice for moving-target shooting at the Hanebjerg elk range.
Allerød Jagtforening trains new hunters, with instructors who help prepare them for shooting tests. Members can also exchange experience on hunting, nature and game management, dog training and shooting.
