The International Alliance against Health Risks in Wildlife Trade is an interdisciplinary network working to prevent zoonotic disease spillover and promote healthy coexistence among people, animals, and ecosystems. Its more than 180 member organisations and over 500 individual members bring together local and scientific knowledge, with the aim of reducing health risks across the wildlife trade spectrum. This includes legal and illegal, domestic and international trade, as well as the hunting, handling, trading, and consumption of wild animals and their products.

Using a One Health approach, the Alliance facilitates knowledge exchange, interdisciplinary collaboration, and pilot projects. Its work combines methods such as social and behavioural change, pathogen identification, awareness campaigns, and policy recommendations. The organisation also provides advisory services to governments, translates evidence and local experience into practical action, and raises wildlife-related health risks in international forums and policy discussions. Members can connect through working groups, events, and collaborative partnerships.
