Allied Milk Producers is a farmer-funded dairy promotion cooperative organized by dairy farmers in 1950. Its mission is to inform and educate people of all ages about milk’s nutritional value and the role natural dairy products can play in supporting nutritional health. The cooperative also represents dairy farmers and works to administer their checkoff funds responsibly.
Allied’s work includes milk research and efforts to increase milk demand and sales. In collaboration with producers in Texas and Dairy Innovations, it is pursuing research on milk quality and ways standard pasteurization can compete with ultra-high-temperature pasteurization. The organization also shares recipes designed for people who enjoy cooking with milk, and produces advertising campaigns and videos, including “LegendDairy – The History of Milk.”
Through its Allie Moo educational activities, Allied has reached thousands, while its community involvement spans sporting, educational, and farming events. With a focus on whole milk and nutrition, the cooperative connects public education, research, farmer representation, recipes, media, and community outreach.
