Allier Genealogie

Allier Généalogie is a French nonprofit genealogy association dedicated to helping people research family history in the Allier department and the wider Bourbonnais region. Affiliated with the Fédération Française de Généalogie and a founding member of the Union Généalogique Auvergne Bourbonnais Velay, it combines online resources, publications, and local support. Members and visitors can search a database containing millions of parish and civil-register records, with access to records transcribed by the association included in the annual membership.

The association also offers access to GeneaBank, help with family-history research, and a service to photograph records held in archives for a fee. Its publications include the quarterly Racines Bourbonnaises review, special issues on local heritage and professions, genealogical tables, and books. Publications are available through membership, subscription, or individual purchase, with some offered in PDF format.

Other services include paleography courses, family-tree products, and assistance preparing a family tree. Based in Vichy, Allier Généalogie also welcomes contributions of record transcriptions and provides guidance to researchers by email and through its local association activities
