All Our Hands is a community-focused organisation founded from co-founder Melissa O’Dwyer’s vision to empower people of all abilities and create a safe, inclusive place where everyone can flourish. Its mission is to operate a vibrant day centre that encourages connection, opportunity and support through inclusive programs, shared resources and community outreach. The organisation’s name and All Our Hands Tree represent people coming together to support one another while developing their individual strengths.
Its values include achievement, loyalty, laughter, opportunity, unity, respect, hope, adventure, nurture, dreaming and strength, reflecting an emphasis on dignity, belonging and growth. All Our Hands also offers services and allied health, and promotes activities for the community. Attached to the day centre is a small op shop.
Profits from the shop are reinvested locally through free and low-cost events and programs. Based in Logan Village, Queensland, All Our Hands aims to build a stronger, more connected community where people of all abilities can flourish and contribute
