All The Other Lucys

All The Other Lucys is a registered charity established to provide supported living for adults with learning disabilities and/or who are on the autism spectrum. Founded around the need for dignified housing and meaningful choices after college, the charity aims to help people live safely and independently while receiving the support they need. Its first residence opened in Yeovil in September 2019, welcoming Lucy and her friends Robin and Emma.

The home is overseen by knowledgeable staff and offers tenants a supportive environment where they can exercise choice, take part in work and activities, and contribute to the upkeep of a spacious garden. The charity reports that its tenants feel supported and appreciated in their home, including through the challenges of the COVID-19 lockdowns. All The Other Lucys is described as financially sustainable and welcomes additional donations, as well as offers of time and expertise.

Its ambitions include acquiring a minibus to support tenants’ transport needs and, in the longer term, extending its supported-living model to other counties in England
