About Almaden Oaks Community Center
Almaden Oaks Community Center (AOCC) is a nonprofit, membership-based swimming facility in the Almaden Oaks neighborhood of San Jose, California. Run by a volunteer board, it has served local families for more than 60 years, with a mission to provide affordable swimming and improve the property for members. Its heated, 1,300-square-foot L-shaped pool is supervised by certified lifeguards during open hours.
Families can also enjoy a spacious shaded lawn, a patio with two gas barbecues, and a bocce court. AOCC offers low-cost group swim lessons for members and the public, as well as private instruction for children and adults. Its noncompetitive swim club helps swimmers refine strokes and practice diving, treading water, and racing turns.
Members may use the grounds for parties and events, including the patio and grills. Community gatherings such as barbecues, candy bar bingo, and cardboard boat races add to the family-friendly atmosphere. AOCC brings together recreation, swim skill development, and neighborhood connection
