Almaz Capital is an early-stage venture capital firm that focuses on investing in technology startups targeting global markets. Founded in 2008, the firm initially invested in startups from the CIS and CEE regions, with the support of Cisco Systems and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). Almaz Capital acted as a bridge between these startups and resources in Silicon Valley, opening offices in both Silicon Valley and Moscow.

They supported successful startups such as QIK, Yandex, and Parallels during this period. However, following geopolitical events, their investment focus shifted to the central and eastern European (CEE) region, with operations based in Berlin. Almaz Capital has invested over $50 million in more than 15 companies with Ukrainian founders or teams, despite the ongoing war in Ukraine.
