Alongsiders

Alongsiders is an NDIS-registered provider of multicultural community services, supporting people with disabilities to pursue their goals, build independence and connect with others. The organisation recognises that stigma, cultural differences, language and accessibility barriers can make it harder to navigate services. Its bilingual Support Coordinators work alongside participants to explain their plans, monitor budgets, connect them with providers and community services, and support informed choices, plan reviews and funding assessments.

Alongsiders offers individual support tailored to participants’ daily living needs, alongside social and skills-building programs. Cooking 101, held in Lidcombe and Rockdale, helps participants gain confidence in the kitchen and try new recipes. Dinner Club provides a welcoming setting for food and community connection, while Weekend Hangout offers social activities and opportunities to make friends. The organisation also provides in-house allied health services, including occupational therapy, physiotherapy, podiatry and dietetics, and connects participants with a broader network of service partners.
