Al Otro Lado provides holistic legal and humanitarian support to indigent refugees, deportees, separated families, and other migrants in the US and Tijuana through a multidisciplinary, client-centered, harm reduction-based practice. We provide direct, free, legal services on both sides of the US-Mexico border and beyond. We engage in zealous individual representation, medical-legal partnerships, and impact litigation to protect the rights of immigrants and asylum-seekers.

About Al Otro Lado
Al Otro Lado is a brand that provides holistic legal and humanitarian support to refugees, deportees, and other migrants in the US and Tijuana. Through their multidisciplinary, client-centered, harm reduction-based practice, they offer direct and free legal services on both sides of the US-Mexico border. With a diverse, trauma-informed approach, Al Otro Lado believes that all migrants deserve access to due process, regardless of their origin.
Their programs include a binational deportee program, border rights project, family reunification program, litigation program, and US-based legal representation. They engage in zealous individual representation, medical-legal partnerships, and impact litigation to protect the rights of immigrants and asylum-seekers. Thousands of volunteers have joined their network of justice, offering support to asylum seekers and refugees both on the Southern Tijuana border and remotely nationwide.
