About Alpaca Assessments
ALPACA is a collaborative research project between Trinity College Dublin and the Marino Institute of Education, birthed from Dr. Jennifer O'Sullivan's studies. The Assessing Letter knowledge & Phonemic Awareness Class Assistant (A.

C. A) tool was developed with input from 70 teachers across 5 countries, benefitting 1000 little learners aged 4-6. This early literacy assessment occurs three times a year to identify reading skill gaps and provide tailored interventions for young readers.
With a focus on prevention rather than remediation, ALPACA aims to equip educators with the tools needed to support children's reading journey from the outset. The platform allows for easy monitoring of progress, differentiation of learners, and informed parental involvement. Backed by thought leaders in the field, ALPACA is a digital solution designed to revolutionize how early literacy skills are assessed and monitored, ultimately reshaping the educational landscape
